Am I The Only One?

I had a slight case of 'diet envy' this past week. Luckily I got over it, but it was touch and go there for a while.

Last week I ran into someone I haven't seen in a while. She's been low-carbing and is looking a bit thinner than last time I saw her. I've been managing to lose very. slowly. without dieting, but she, of course, has lost quite a lot more. Naturally a little voice began nagging me - telling me how much weight I could have lost by now if I'd just wise up and do low carb, too.

I admit, for a time it sounded pretty good to me. Just do it. Lose 20 pounds or so then I could work on a reasonable relationship with food, etc, etc. All those arguments that sound so reasonable.

But reason and self-knowledge eventually won out. So I'm sticking to slow, steady and sustainable.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to make a batch of dough for homemade - and not the slightest bit low carb - pizza.

  3. Are you still trying to lose weight? It doesn't seem like there's any point if you're advocating not dieting. If you can be healthy at any shape or weight, then there's no point except for the glam and natural desire to be attractive. Keep it up!
